Why I Love Spray Roses (And Why I Can’t Stop Making Them!)

There’s something about spray roses that has completely captured my heart. Maybe it’s their delicate charm, their versatility, or the fact that they can make any floral arrangement look instantly fuller and more romantic. Whatever it is, I find myself returning to them over and over again—both in real life and in my paper flower creations!

Recently (well, a few months ago), I was inspired to make a huge bouquet of giant crepe paper roses after seeing a competition by World of Spray Roses for florists. The idea of celebrating these little beauties in such a grand way was too tempting to resist! And, well… when I get inspired, I tend to go all in! Ahhh I just can't help myself! 🤭

What Makes Spray Roses So Special?

Spray roses are like tiny bundles of joy. Unlike standard roses, which typically grow one bloom per stem, spray roses can have up to nine delicate flowers on a single stem! That means more blooms, more texture, and more opportunities to create breathtaking arrangements. They come in a stunning variety of colors, from soft pastels to vibrant, fiery hues, making them perfect for any occasion.

Florists love them because they add natural movement to bouquets, filling in gaps and creating a lush, effortless look. But what I love most is how sweet and romantic they feel—like something out of a dreamy garden. That's why I made giant ones, to really capture this!

Bringing Spray Roses to Life with Paper

Since I adore spray roses so much, it’s only natural that I keep recreating them in paper form! There’s something incredibly satisfying about capturing their soft, layered petals and the way they cluster together so gracefully. And the best part? Paper spray roses will never wilt!
